Gadgets and Gizmos Importer
Tabletop, kitchen, storage, textiles, and home office products manufacturer and wholesaler. We started in 1944 by the father of todays owner in Copenhagen Denmark. He managed to wholesale a very small variety of house ware products by Danish manufacturers. After the war he managed to wholesale a few Danish kitchen products and obtained an import license for kitchen and tabletop products specializing in glassware from Eastern Europe. In the fifties he started developing his own products.

From early on he recognized the importance of industrial design and this visionary approach laid the groundwork. With an in-house team of designers engineers graphic designers and architects. We have been doing own product design development and advertising. We grew steadily during the sixties but sadly in 1967 he passed away. His wife managed the company until 1974 when she invited her 26-year-old son to join her in the management of the company. In 1974, bistro, the first French coffee press was introduced. Many more variations of coffee presses followed.

Taken the leap from coffee to kitchen and developed and produced a large variety of beautiful household and tabletop designs. In 1980, we move to Switzerland and design unit were founded. Then in 1986, the opening of our first shop in London marked another milestone in our history. In 1992, we entered the field of electrical household products. The ibis water kettle was the first in a long line of simple as well as highly sophisticated electrical kitchen helpers: juicers coffee grinders and in 2003, granos, a true steam engine of an espresso machine.

More and more shops in more and more cities all over the world have opened: Paris, Copenhagen, Zurich, Lucerne, Tokyo, New York, Sydney, Okinawa, Auckland, and many others. Today, there are 52 stores worldwide and many more shop-in-shops. Today we offer customers everything from the latest coffee and tea making products to tabletop, kitchen, storage, textiles, and home office products.
